Blind Brackets
General
A top-mount bracket is installed onto a horizontal surface, such as the top of a window frame, window casing or ceilingThis mounting style is commonly used when:● There is enough space above the window for the bracket.● You want the blind to sit inside the window frame.● You are installing the blind directly onto a horizontal surface.
An L-shaped bracket is designed to mount the blind from the side or front of the window frame. Its L-shaped profile allows it to be secured to a vertical surface. This mounting style is commonly used when:● There is not enough space to install a bracket on the top of the window frame● The window frame or casing makes top mounting difficult● You need to mount the blind farther away from the window● An outside-mount installation is preferred
The right bracket depends primarily on the available mounting surface and the position where your blind needs to be installed.● Top mount: Best when you can screw directly into a horizontal surface above the blind● L-shaped mount: Best when you need to attach the blind to a vertical surface or need additional clearance from the window
Not always. The brackets are designed for different mounting orientations, so you should use the bracket that matches your installation location. Using the wrong bracket may prevent the blind from sitting correctly or being securely mounted.Tip: If you're unsure which bracket to use, measure the available mounting space and check whether you have a suitable horizontal or vertical surface for the screws.
